Art II: 01
Instructor: Piepke

The objectives of Art ll include the study of two and three dimensional art and visual literacy experiences with a focus on the elements and principles of design, with most of the emphasis placed on the principles. The student develops and refines attitudes, knowledge, and skills through a wide range of approaches. Beyond the creation of works of art, appreciation of art at this level focuses on the understanding of art as a visual language. Oppertunities for sel-evaluation of their artistic effoert, as well as opportunities to reflect on the artistic achievements of others are emphasized throughout the program. The relationship of historical and cultural contexts builds a stronger understanding of the impact of the visual world in which we live.
